Hello again everyone! Since my last entry, I have competed in the NPC Jr. Nationals where I placed 3rd in the super-heavyweight class. I also competed in the NPC USA Championships where I placed a disappointing 10th in the super-heavyweight class. I was a bit discouraged by this placing and was ready to give up and take a much needed off-season. It took about 4 days to clear my head and gain some perspective on things. I realized that I can’t let my placing get to me. I have to keep pushing ahead and try to improve before the next competition. I also had to remind myself that there were 27 competitors in my class so 10th wasn’t that horrible. I had a chance to speak with the judges after the USA’s and gained some valuable information as to what I need to improve before the next competition. I will be making those changes and attempting to improve my placing at the IFBB North American Championships on August 29th and 30th. No matter what happens, I will use the experience as a learning tool so that I can continue to improve at each competition that I enter. I have always told others not to give up on their goals no matter how many bumps in the road there are. It is time that I follow my own advice.
