The fact is, both of these resistance training modalities have their pros and cons depending on the individual, the individual’s training experience, and the machine’s lever system (type of body frame). I challenge you to make a change to your training routine; if you typically train with free weights, switch up your routine and do all of your training for a week with cable machines. If you normally train with cable machines, switch and work with only free weights for a week. Embrace the new training variable in your routine and the possible new challenges the change may present to your training style."
