Pump it up with your favorite song
Tackle a power set using your favorite song to push you through.
Challenge Duration: 3X over 1 week
“There are many ways to ratchet your training intensity through the roof! For example, a great training partner who pushes you to get those two extra reps, or a sprint through the finish line after a five mile run! But science is now confirming that, for many people, nothing can be more motivating than your favorite song playing while you train your best body part!
I challenge you to download your favorite song, put it on your iPod/MP3 player and head to the gym ready for an intense workout. Do your entire workout and then finish your routine off with a “bang” by putting your favorite song on, pick up a set of dumbbells and do alternating curls through the entire song! You can focus on any muscle group you want, so long as it is your favorite!
Don’t go too crazy and do something like the track “Dog” by Pink Floyd from the Animals album. That song is 17 minutes long! If you can do curls for that entire song, well “you got to be crazy” like the opening lyrics say!”
