BACK ON SNOW!!!!!!!! I’m so stoked to be skiing again, I don’t even know how to express it! Jumping up and down? Screaming at the top of my lungs? Face getting sore from smiling so much? Yeah, that all went on this past weekend, even though it was -6 degrees with 20-50mph winds on the mountain and blizzard conditions.

Over the last few years I’ve been skiing every day on the best mountains in the world—jumping, grinding, and slashing; I guess I kind of took it for granted. Since I’ve been living on the east coast I haven’t been able to ski for the last eight months. Being back on skis again really makes me appreciate how great a sport it is and how lucky I am to shred! Just riding the lift with my friends, breathing cold mountain air, and making some turns is soooo FUN! Going really, really fast… catching air… slashing in fresh powder… being on the edge of control… Doing that on skis is UNREAL! I have to take it easy for another month though.

An update on my skiing:

My knees are feeling great and I’m going to move back to Tahoe in a few months. I’m going to focus on training and filming/shooting photos for the rest of the season. The only competitions I hope to do this spring are the Aspen Open, World Skiing Invitational, and US Open. I want to use my time to prepare for a killer summer in Mt Hood or Whistler and to take a trip to New Zealand again to compete!

In the meantime, I’ll be continuing with the same—lots of time in the gym and on the slopes. I have to ease into jumping and build up to where I was last year. I’m still training on my trampoline almost every day.
