Hello everyone, I hope all has been well.

I am doing great. I just finished up a short but very productive off-season. I only had November to March 2010 to rest from last year's season, where I competed in six shows. Knowing my off-season was going to be short, I knew how important it would be to have a good training plan.

I started with three weeks out of the gym completely, which gave me a solid 12 weeks to make improvements for the next season, where I will focus all my efforts on the 2010 USA Bodybuilding and Figure Championships on July 30th, in Las Vegas. Week by week, I slowly ramped up my intensity and focused a lot on lower body development and back thickness. It was really nice to do some power-lifting and move some heavy weight—it had been over a year since my last power-lifting program. Best thing of all is, I made some significant gains in strength which I am sure helped me improve my areas of focus on my body.

It is the middle of March and I am starting my diet for the USA Championships . I am allowing 20 weeks for preparation to ensure I have enough time to diet down slowly. My last off-season weight was around 212 lbs and this year I reached 225 lbs. I am really excited about being able to present the improvements to my physique. Getting back down to 176 lbs is going to be a challenge, but I'm up to it, and I’m sure the improvements will be noticeable at the USA's!

On another note, I am enjoying all the rest that life has to offer. I recently celebrated my 30th Birthday and had a good time with my friends and family. Due to some rainy weather, I had to cancel a weekend trip to Idyllwild for my birthday, but I still made the best of the weekend bowling and hanging out. Now it's time to make my mark and set the bar a little higher for myself and go for the top spot at the USA's. I want to thank everyone for the support and encouragement in the past and for the coming season. I will update you all shortly with the training progress and process.

All the best!!
