I have enjoyed lifting weights as far back as I can remember. I received my first weight set for my 11th birthday. At the age of 12 I decided to promote and host my first “bodybuilding show”. The Malachi Walker Classic took place in my bedroom in the small town of Cassopolis, Michigan, where I was the promoter of the show and sold tickets to my parents, aunts and uncles.

Growing up I participated in football, track & field and wrestling. As a football player in high school, I was a pretty decent option quarterback and defensive back. I was also a high school state champion in track & field. Wrestling was my main sport though, as it was the sport that came most naturally to me. I started wrestling at the age of nine and continued on through high school and college before focusing all of my effort towards bodybuilding. I would have loved to continue wrestling, but the training was really starting to wear on my body. Besides, I was ready to pursue my childhood dream of bodybuilding!

I have always found the human physique to be intriguing and fascinating. I know I will always have interest in seeing how a person can manipulate nutritional and training disciplines to make their own physique into an eye catching work of art.

I have always had the same training principles. I’ve known my whole life it would take time for me to develop into a champion. I understand how necessary it is to be open to learning from anyone who crosses my path and be able to distinguish the sound training principles from the “BS”. I have always taken it upon myself to be as educated and well rounded as possible in order for me to be successful in bodybuilding. My training philosophy of patience and dedication is largely due to my family and the principles my parents instilled in me as a kid. I will continue with my training philosophy and reach International Federation of Bodybuilders (IFBB) pro status in the future. And I will always enjoy learning from others and teaching others what I have learned in order to continually improve and set and reach new goals.
